About Melanie
Certified Oxygen Advantage® Instructor, Yoga Teacher & Qi-Gong Practitioner
Melanie Nightingale teaches functional breathwork and gentle movement practices on the beaches of the beautiful Côte d’Azur in the South of France. With a background in Oxygen Advantage training, Qi-Gong, openwater swimming and mindful movement, her work blends science, nature and grounded presence.

Melanie teaches traditional Qi-Gong sequences from various eras, including the well-known Baduanjin. She loves exploring how these ancient practices mirror cycles in nature and harmonise beautifully with the biochemistry and biomechanics behind the Oxygen Advantage method.

As a competitive openwater swimmer, Melanie has personally experienced the powerful impact of functional breathing - improving endurance, energy and emotional balance. She has also navigated menopause with the help of breathing techniques and now supports other women through this transformative time with compassion and evidence-based tools.

In her sessions, Melanie guides people into balance using breath, gentle flow and awareness. She also creates original guided meditations inspired by the respiratory system — helping students develop clarity, inner calm and a deeper connection to the present moment.
Whether practising together on the coastline or meeting online, Melanie shares a warm, grounded approach to functional breathing, empowerment and nervous-system health.

“I believe breath brings us back home - to presence, to balance, and to the quiet place inside ourselves where we can begin again.”
- Mel Nightingale
